What We Do:

Assistant Buyer

In this position you will execute decisions made by upper management and assist the Buyer in accomplishing the sales and profit plan for the selected class within the specified brand division. This position reports directly to the Buyer.



Job Requirements:

  • Project sales for each style by color to be approved by buyer & GMM
  • Process, move and cancel orders according to projections and fluctuations in sales
  • Source globally to negotiate best price & delivery with agents and vendors
  • Track shipping on all orders to ensure on time delivery
  • Analyze selling, inventory, and preparing information for best seller meetings
  • Competitive product and fashion trend knowledge by consistent shopping of the competition and our own stores
  • Pull samples, send tickets, and revise orders for agents
  • Manage company website for all assigned classes


Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 1-2 years experience in merchandising
  • Sourcing and negotiation knowledge and skills
  • Quantitative and Financial Skills
  • General knowledge of fabrics & construction of garments
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Eye for fashion and sense of style
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and Internet
