Join the team of an innovative networking products design and manufacturing company!

GarrettCom’s business is industrial networking products, with focus on Power Utility and substation automation networks as a primary target market. There are established accounts in the territory (Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Western Canada,) which provide a springboard for sales development. Product and application-specific training will be given upon hire. Training of GarrettCom’s Industrial Networking products will include features and benefits of our hardware and software, managed networks design, applications information, competitive analysis, account profiles with history, and effective sales techniques. Work from a home-based single person office in the territory. Compensation includes a base salary plus commission along with a competitive benefits package.

Job duties: The right candidate can sell networking hardware, software and services to power utility and general industrial accounts in the territory, with a key emphasis on new business development. Other responsibilities include technical consultation on LAN and WAN networks and communication system applications for customers and channel partners through product demonstrations and visits. You will negotiate integrator/VAR contracts and discounts, coordinate and cooperate with GarrettCom resellers and the Area Sales Manager to address other industrial markets in the territory, and interact with the technical support staff to maintain customer relationships.

Goals include: 1) Maintain high quality representation of the company to customers and prospects. 2) Respond quickly and effectively to customer sales queries and needs. 3) Provide high quality product matches to customer application requirements. Note: The achievement of revenue targets in conjunction with control of expenses is an important objective for sales professionals at GarrettCom.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree or equal, five years of technical sales experience including hardware/software-related products and services. A general understanding of the networking requirements for power utility transmission and distribution is desired.
