I. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Leader is a Registered Professional Nurse who is accountable
and responsible for the delivery of direct care to patients individually and
through the assignment and direction of the patient focused care team, utilizing
a collaborative patient care management process, meeting established standards
of nursing care and integrating other health care team members. Responds to
patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the
standards of care of unit/department where assigned.
MINIMUM SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED
* Requires current California State Registered Nurse License. Prefer BSN.
*Current BLS & ACLS
*Fluent ability to understand oral and written English directives, including
English text. **Ability to perform all physical requirements pertaining to
delegated tasks.
*Prefer recent, hospital direct patient care experience in an acute care
facility.
