Providence is calling Chemical Dependency Professionals
Under the supervision of the Patient Services Coordinator and the Patient Services Manager, the Chemical Dependency Professional implements, maintains and coordinates the case management of assigned patients. As a Chemical Dependency Professional delivers treatment services including individual and family sessions, lectures and group therapy. The Chemical Dependency Professional performs all levels of pre-admission assessment, from inquiry to biopsychosocial assessment, as well as aspects of the clinical admission process.
We're seeking an individual who performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Mission and Philosophy of our founders, the Sisters of Providence.
Position Specifics
This position is located at Providence St. Peter Hospital's Chemical Dependency Center in Hoquiam, WA. This is a part time (32 hrs/week), variable shift position. All candidates hired into a position posted as 20 hrs/wk or more qualify for benefits.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associates degree in counseling or related field is required. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Counseling or a related area is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Washington State Certification as a Chemical Dependency Professional as defined in WAC 246-811 and RCW 18.205. Must have CPR and First Aid at hire and must maintain for continued employment.
Experience: Two years counseling experience with persons with the primary problem of chemical dependency. Inpatient treatment working with dual diagnosis and utilization review experience is preferred. Computer proficiency preferred. Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English. Effective communication skills. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Washington State Motor Vehicle Operator's license. Ability to pass a Washington State Patrol background check.
