We seek a Strategic Alliances Senior Manager to work at either our Glastonbury, CT office or remotely.

The Strategic Alliances Senior Manager is a key sales role within the Alliance Sales organization, reporting to the Vice President Strategic Alliances. The Senior Manager will work with the vertical VP's, regional account managers and regional sales reps to identify new business sales opportunities and cross sell opportunities for 3rd party product sales.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and leverage supplier/partner relationships to further achieve short and long term strategic Open Solutions’ business goals and needs
  • work closely with the field sales team to market and sell 3rd party alliance software and hardware products
  • build revenue and sales business plan for each assigned alliance partner in order to measure success for Open Solutions and the alliance partner
  • if required, be the conduit between the partner, the prospect and Open Solutions for any price negotiations for proposals that include 3rd party products
  • provide feedback to the executive team and the alliance partners for the purpose of improving the effectiveness and results of the alliances
  • achieve annual and quarterly revenue and TCV targets
  • be consistent in all sales activity, revenue reporting and quarterly forecasting for assigned partners
  • manage all aspects of lead generation within SalesForce.com for the assigned partners, i.e. Referral Leads, Cross-Sell, new account and market penetration
  • Act as a liaison with the Commercialization Team and other key departments, as well as new business sales and account managers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

To qualify for this position, you must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in channel and alliance sales, with at least 3 years of successful direct selling and territory management responsibilities
  • solution selling methodology experience preferred
  • significant experience managing all facets of a sales engagement, including skills in prospecting, identifying, and qualifying potential sales opportunities, negotiating and executing large complex partnership agreements
  • creativity, innovation, strong judgment, and leadership to provide the impetus to get deals done within realistic time frames and profitable parameters
  • Ability to plan/execute partner specific marketing and promotional plans
  • proven success and strong comfort level with multi-tasking and changing directions quickly and effortlessly to meet the dynamic demands of the marketplace
  • move successfully between long-term strategic issues and short-term tactical implementation
  • a sales mentality which allows you to thrive in a fast paced, resource constrained, and results-oriented environment – multitasking abilities are a must
  • excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • self-confidence, possesses a strong work ethic, and is continually focused on improvement, innovation and bottom line results
  • strong team orientation is crucial
  • Project Management skills a plus
  • Moderate amount of travel required
