Project Engineer: Company Confidential

Company Profile: Our construction management firm has nearly 2 decades of service on various public and private projects. Our staff of professionals manage challenging and demanding projects for our clients. We are currently expanding our team and looking for a Project Engineer.

Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience with a project team on large public projects that include major renovation or new construction. Experience on large airport projects over $30 million dollars in construction value is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field is required. Computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite is required and experience with Microsoft Project and web based tracking systems is desirable. Good verbal and written communication skills are important. The proven ability to maintain organization in a changing environment is critical. Must exhibit initiative, responsibility and flexibility. Standards of performance include: Responsiveness to project team requests, meeting construction management operational standards, excellent client relations, timely recognition and reporting of problems and conflicts, monitoring expenditures and schedules.

Responsibilities: The Project Engineer provides support to the team of project managers, senior project managers and project directors. Interfaces with architects and contractors during all phases of the project. Tracks and processes various documents including contracts, bids, change orders, requests for information and contractor payment applications. May support various project functions during preconstruction, bidding and construction activities. Responds promptly to requests to perform activities that provide information about vital project status. Supports team to make certain that construction takes place in a timely manner, with a minimum of disruption to the activities of the client. Tracks status of vendors, contractors and suppliers to confirm that the project is progressing on schedule. Assists in the preparation of status reports during construction and with the preparation of project closeout documents also tracks final punch list work to completion.
