Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides quality care to the patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Communicates patient needs and responses through appropriate verbal and written correspondence. Ensures documentation is complete and accurate regarding all aspects of patient care. Properly operates imaging and specialty equipment. Keeps abreast of uses of various medical devices. Ensures that patients have been prepared for procedures. Verifies that rooms are adequately stocked and periodically checks inventories of emergency supplies. Provides quality care to patients during procedures. Assists with patient and family education. May support or assist in research and related activities. Demonstrates an adequate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs. Assists with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate time sequence. Acts as a resource for students and junior techs. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound technology. Current RMDS certificate in OB/GYN required. Minimum two years of clinical experience in obstetrical sonography.

Prefer candidate with minimum of two years of experience in perinatology either in hospital or physician office setting. Prefer candidate with current nuchal translucency certification (NTQR).

This position will provide care to patients of the Emory Perinatal Center and will join dedicated team of two full-time sonographers for The Emory Clinic Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division.
