FACILITY INFORMATION
Marian provides a continuum of comprehensive care for its immediate community and many neighboring Central Coast towns. Founded in 1940, Marian Medical Center today is a 167-bed acute care facility with two campuses and also offers a 95-bed Extended Care Center. Marian has 1300 employees and 250 active physicians who treat more than 100,000 patients each year. Marian's specialty services include Marian Heart Center, Marian Cancer Center, Marian Home Health & Hospice Services, and Marian Family Birth Center. Marian also provides two community clinics focused on serving the disadvantaged, a multi-disciplinary Rehabilitation Center, a Health and Wellness Center, and an Urgent Care Center.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Occupational Therapist performs all phases of occupational therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment and documentation, and performs other tasks related to quality of care and effective department function.

Performs such typical distinguishing duties as: Evaluates patients; participates in the treatment program planning; administers occupational therapy modalities, procedures and tests; documents accurate patient records and progress notes; maintains appropriate oral or written contact with the referring physician, subordinates co workers, and the public. Ensures a clean and safe work environment by being alert for unsafe conditions and malfunctioning equipment and using appropriate procedures for their correction; supervises aides and assistants in their participation in the overall treatment program. Assists Occupational Therapy Supervisor with Q.I. as required.

Performs other related duties such as: Participates in all departmental functions and activities as required, including inservice education, clerical and other tasks relevant to effective department function as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy to qualify for licensure/certification.

Licensure: Should be a member of Occupational Therapists Association of California (OTAC) and Certified in CPR.

Experience: Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist preferred but not required. Previous hand therapy experience preferred but not required
