Main Duties of the position:

  • Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the photo channel sales team, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals.
  • Pursue performance goals for all Photo Channel business with sales team employees, and monitors performance on a continual basis.
  • Achieve the annual/quarterly sales volume quota assgned to the territory. Occasionally other quotas may be assigned that must also be achieved.
  • Develops, or participates in the development of the photo channel Strategic business Plan.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with accounts in Photo channel through on-site visits throughout designated regions.
  • Pursue new accounts and avenues of distributions, and work with buyers to affect chagnes in current sales and marketing strategies.
  • Provide specialized product knowledge and conducts field demonstrations, training and presentations to manufactures representatives, key accounts.
  • Manage manufactures sales representative in assigned territory to maximize sales, profits, and service; educates, trains, and update representative on current program, product availability.
  • Responsible for staying within the assigned travel, entertainment, and telephone budget for the territory.
  • Complete and submit monthly sales forecast and telephone expense reports to immediate supervisor.
  • All other duties as may be assigned by other members of management.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Experience in Digital Photographic industry, ideally 15+ years of experience.
  • Confident negotiator and ability to close the right type of business at the highest levels.
  • Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions to achieve target sales.
  • A proven track record in delivering against personal and team sales revenue objectives.
  • A proven track record in recruiting, training, managing, motivating and leading a sales team.
  • An ability to represent the company at the highest level to clients and agencies.
  • Experience of product development and contributing to pricing policy discussions.
  • Ability to manage prospective client expectations and keep promises
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone and presentation
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • A positive attitude to dealing with people
  • Regularly communicates performance issues

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
