PLANT ENGINEER Ahlstrom Filtration LLC, a world-leading manufacturer of filtration media, has an immediate opening for a Plant Engineer in Taylorville, Illinois. Responsibilities include: Insures completion of all engineering and maintenance work, complying with Company, Federal, State, and local codes Engineers and installs production systems and equipment configurations. Responsible for completion of work instructions and training for new equipment installations and ensures facility prints and P&ID drawings are up to date. Insures that all steam, power, and water systems are operating and maintained efficiently. Supervises equipment and facility improvements; directing work of all contract personnel involved. Provides assistance in troubleshooting mill systems. Recommends process improvements, including machine component layout. Assigns, develops and records Input/Output wiring diagrams and motor elementaries. Interfaces with outside vendors for communication links to DCS and other online systems. Understands, complies with, and cultivates knowledge of ISO and TS standards as well as safety policies, practices, and procedures. Responsible for investment budget performance. BS in Engineering required (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) with 7-10 years management experience as a Project, Plant, or Maintenance Engineer in the Pulp and Paper or related industry. Licensed Professional Engineer highly desirable. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a high level of knowledge in process piping, air and process control systems, electrical power, and Thermal Oxidizers. Computer literate in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, SAP, Lotus Notes, and other programs including TCP/IP and networking knowledge required. Familiarity with Metso DNA and Damatic training for scanners, EWS, Backup station, engineering preferred.
