Job Description Seeking dynamic self-starter with prior fundraising and event experience. This position will be handling the South Palm Beach County region. Responsible for the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of fund-raising and community outreach special events and programs to support the mission and goals of the organization. Must be able to work well in a team environment as well as with a range of people and personalities. Works with the Resource Development team collaboratively on fundraising goals and the ability to work efficiently and as a member of a team is a must. Responsible for planning and coordinating special events and fundraising programs like golf tournaments, social events and other community programs. Prospect and solicit corporate sponsors, coordinate volunteer events and interact with donors. Local travel, some evening and weekends are required. Candidate must have reliable transportation.
Requirements Must have at least three years fundraising, event planning, and public speaking experience in South Palm Beach County, preferably in the health care field. The ability to organize and implement community fund-raising programs, prospect corporate sponsors and work with volunteers is essential. Effectively work with and relate to internal and external customers. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, business administration or a related field, or associates degree with three years experience in community relations or related field. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with knowledge of Raiser’s Edge.
