Learning Specialist Job Summary
Responsibilities Description: Work with USBC Operations management and employees to execute learning management strategy for USBC Operations. Provide tools and consultation for managers to work with employees to identify and execute learning; coordinate documentation and tracking of learning interventions using AZGLMS and AZLearn. Coordinate consistent use of LM tools with Learning management execution leads at Westborough and Newark. Major Responsibilities: · Consult with USBC Ops employees and managers to develop and manage learning and development to support clients' learning and development goals as defined by LM strategy and client needs. · Identify and manage outside vendors required to support learning and development deliverables. · Ensure all USBC Ops Learning and development programs adhere to USBC Ops standards for compliance, record keeping, L&D value and lean principles. · Second tier support of all Learning Management Systems used by supported clients. This includes support of various AZGLMS identified department administrators to ensure the link between LMS requirements and department learning and development needs. · Support clients with the management and maintenance of learning records within the various learning management systems for both development and compliance training. This includes historical data, high level reports, etc. housed in AZGLMS, AZLearn & AZU. · Develop and manage USBC Ops learning management processes outside the LMS. This includes L&D training templates, document mgmt systems, and systems that exist upstream supplying data required by the L&D systems. (ie: Peoplesoft / TDMS / eRoom) · Collaborate with Learning execution leads at WB and Newark to share lessons learned/tools/etc. to ensure standardization of execution between learning programs in Operations. · Work within budgetary constraints to manage L&D projects within determined project budget parameters. · Work with departments to develop and audit employee learning matrices to ensure development in all learning areas. · Provide learning management consultation in alignment with adult learning theory and Learning management process information to subject matter experts (SMEs) as they develop training. · Develop training as appropriate based on own expertise · Design, implement and lead (as appropriate) USBC-wide and sometimes Operations wide training initiatives aligned with business priorities and learning requirements. · Ensure Learning Management systems are appropriately maintained, information is current, tools are in place to determine required knowledge and skill gaps for goals and progress against compliance and business learning targets is effectively monitored. · Interface with Quality Assurance to address regulatory agency (FDA, MHRA, Safety, Environment, etc) questions involving the learning management system and documentation. · Manage LMS change control and upgrade activities. · Measure and report on Learning KPI's. Qualifications · Bachelor's degree, preferably in a learning and development or related field (e.g., education, instructional design, instructional technology, human performance improvement (HPI), organization design) with 5 or more years experience in a pharmaceutical or related field in some aspect of strategic learning management · Effective communication, presentation, organizational & interpersonal skills. · Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design and a variety of learning methodologies. · Demonstrated internal consulting skills and ability to facilitate and provide feedback with employees and leaders at all levels. · Good project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills. · Ability to perform well in a team-based environment. · Ability to align learning initiatives with strategic objectives Preferred Background · Bachelor's degree in a development/training/learning discipline with 5 or more years of management/supervisory experience. · Involvement in industry groups with specializations in effective learning management and training. · Working knowledge of cGMP's and Safety, Health and Environmental regulations or experience working in a regulated environment · Working knowledge of Lean and 6 sigma
