COST ESTIMATOR , SYSTEMS & SOFTWARE

Our Systems and Software Cost Estimators play a crucial role in maintaining our On Time, On Budget record of performance. We are offering new opportunities to be part of the B-2 program and the Estimating team! Specific duties include: collecting technical project sizing in engineering units and utilizing industry tools to formulate project cost estimates for use by management and engineering. Interfacing with key personnel to determine project scope and complexities, then importing collected data into industry tools to develop cost and labor estimates. Primary emphasis will be to develop estimates for software and systems engineering for projects in various stages of their life cycle. Representing the Independent Product Team (IPT) in meetings and determining IPT requirements, correlating the requirements to program performance, developing a recommendation with associated risks, and presenting and getting IPT and functional approval for submittal to the customer. Individual will also participate in the development of trade studies, white-papers, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) development, and firm proposals on DoD programs. Will be responsible for collecting and maintaining historical data for analysis and model calibration, analyzing actual and predictable Program Data to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for IPT decision making through the application of logic and economic disciplines and techniques. Will coordinate cost documentation in support of DoD acquisition requirements and support customer Program Office Estimate (POE) and Independent Cost Estimate (ICE) exercises.

Basic Qualifications: BS or BA Degree with minimum 6 years relevant experience. To be considered for this Special Access program candidates must have an Active Secret Clearance. Experience with parametric cost estimating methods, cost risk analysis and statistical/probability theory is required.

Preferred Experience: Experience in Systems and Software Engineering fundamentals, and tools such as SEER-SEM, PRICE-S, and COCOMO.
