Positions in this function are responsible for various activities related to the provider network database which may include any or all of the following: database maintenance, reporting and extracting data for various reports and analyses, initiating database improvement. Develops and maintains standards for database integrity and quality assurance, coordinates corrective activities to clean database and retain users, and manages communication processes with other departments regarding database improvements. Conducts audits and provides feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance. Maintains current provider data to ensure the quality of the network. May be responsible for representing the provider network area on company IT projects, reporting and tracking provider calls and complaints, or for the support, coordination, and production of the paper directory cycles.
  • Analyzes and investigates.
  • Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise.
  • Develops and documents new processes.
  • Works with operational areas on a cross functional basis to provide assistance with the implementation of new initiatives.
  • Speak on national calls to present new documents or updates to internal departments.
  • Troubleshoot provider data issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years data analysis experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Stronly prefer a Bachelor's Degree in Information Management or Data Analysis.
  • Proven proficiency tracking, trending and reporting on metrics.
  • Experience with state reporting is a strong PLUS!
  • Must be proficient with MS Access, Hyperian and/or have Mini-tab experience.
  • Strong customer response/customer service experience is required.
  • Experience in managing cross functional projects and making presentations.
  • Solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter; team player; quality minded; focused; committed; work independently.
