| Description: Facility Managers help cultivate a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while ensuring all staff members perform at a consistently high level. The Facility Manager is directly responsible for the operation of pinspotters, pinsetters, automatic scoring machines, lanes and all other facility equipment at the highest level of operating proficiency. Assists the General Manager in all other aspects of center operations to facilitate the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives. In the General Manager’s absence, the Facility Manager may assume responsibility for center operations. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Participates in the day-to-day management of the bowling center from a technical perspective. Performs management tasks necessary to contribute to the efficient operation of the bowling center. · Team management and development responsibilities to include hiring, training, motivating, and scheduling staff to perform the job duties to the established standards for Frames per Stop and machine downtime. Trains less experienced mechanics (C and B ) in AMF Machine Area Safety Procedures and AMF Standards of Operation for all bowling equipment, building maintenance, and Preventative Maintenance programs. · Ensures that employees are following safe working practices and have a working knowledge of all AMF/OSHA safety practices and procedures. Provides frequent updates and reminders on safety topics to all employees. · Maintains appropriate parts inventory and control records. · Obtain bids for regular and emergency repairs / maintenance of the facility in accordance with the published budget. · Monitors and maintains machine stop records and stop summaries to determine necessary repairs. · Identifies and coordinates all repairs on malfunctioning bowling equipment and replacements after obtaining final approvals from the General Manager or District Manager as appropriate. · Monitors and schedules all regular maintenance on the HVAC system, roof, plumbing system, electrical system, life/safety and all other building systems. Minor repairs can be handled if trained and are qualified to handle such repairs. · Responsible for updates to the AMF Preventative Maintenance System for all center equipment (as posted, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually). · Monitors and maintains clean, consistent and high scoring lane conditions to USBC specifications. · Ensures that the workshop and machine area is clean and organized at all times.
Requirements: SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Facility Managers must possess a strong sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity, respect for all individuals (customers, vendors and employees), solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills and appreciation for diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.). Facility Managers must be dedicated team players and people developers, and possess a strong desire to grow and develop the technical staff Facility Managers must successfully complete the AMF C program, B program, and attend the Bowling Tech certification school. Facility Managers hired externally must attend the Bowling Tech class within 6 months of being hired. The skills and abilities are normally acquired through the receipt of High School and a minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination education and experience.
