- Coordinates customer requirements across functional boundaries.
- Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the quality/reliability of products.
- Manages the development, implementation of quality/reliability test plans and performance failure analysis, including work activities, correcting and modifying as appropriate.
- Directs all tactical project and program activity to meet pre-established goals and objectives.
- May be responsible for gathering operational and test data, and the evaluation of results.
- Prepares documentation for testing.
- Reviews and manages priorities to support overall corporate objectives.
- Manages and is accountable for projects/programs as well as, developing methods and parameters, project methodology and/or project proposals.
- Evaluates work methods, procedures and policies to ensure world-class quality standards are attainable.
- Leads the project from initiation through delivery, ensuring compliance in project lifecycle and quality/reliability processes.
- Duties will vary according to the project progress and/or the specific goals of the division.
- Provides feedback on employees’ performance to their respective managers.
Qualifications Skills - Skills and abilities to perform job include: analytical communication, presentation, problem solving and troubleshooting, exercises mature judgment; ability to work in a team and independently; influencing skills; ability to act as mentor and provide technical training to less experienced engineers; lead and/or supervise projects; ability to identify and select temporary employees, consultants, and analytical laboratories in various technical areas of expertise; and to represent the product business groups in external professional societies. Good project/program management skills.
Education INCUMBENTS TYPICALLY WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: - BS degree or equivalent;
- 8+ years directly related experience (manufacturing, quality assurance, test, etc.) including at least 4 years of project management/supervisor experience.
INCUMBENTS ARE PREFERRED WHO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING: - MS in Physical or Engineering Sciences, or related technical discipline
- 5 plus years directly related experience in quality, reliability, manufacturing, field or engineering experience in a semiconductor or capital equipment manufacturing organization
