JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists members in performing teller transactions, establishing memberships, share accounts, savings services and/or loans and loan services by conducting interviews, completing necessary documents and performing data entry of records in compliance with audit requirements in a full-service branch that is open seven days a week.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
Maintains a high level of member service by adhering to the Branch Service Standards. Promotes advocacy and ensures that all member service issues are handled properly. Focuses on achieving successful results in the Member Service Survey ratings.

Performs day to day teller transactions including, but not limited to deposits, withdrawals and transfers. Answers member inquiries and provides information in accordance with credit union policy. Assists members with balance inquiries, statement requests, stop payments and other deposit account-related needs.

Supports achievement of annual goals for service, growth and other key areas assigned for assigned branch. Attracts new members and supports member and account retention. Supports migration to appropriate delivery channels. Participates in off-site presentation efforts as directed by Branch Manager. May participate in servicing ATM machines, express deposit and coin machine as assigned

Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures and related data processing transactions needed to establish savings or loan products and may train other employees in routine procedures. Meets personal development and training objectives established by Branch Manager and completes Wescom University core curriculum. Maintains proficiency in technology applications including operating system and ancillary systems. Contributes to organizational efforts in process improvement.

Ensures branch compliance with audit and security standards, policies and procedures, and loss prevention measures. Maintains confidentiality of credit union and member records.

Ensures that the physical environment of the branch is maintained according to Wescom's standards and that staff appearance reflects the desired level of professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate. Previous financial industry and customer service experience preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the credit union's operating system.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
