This role is for a Managing Director in the Ingenix Consulting Operations & Technology practice area. As a managing director , this person will have a variety of responsibilities ranging from business concept development, to sales and account management, to quality assurance over large program design and delivery. HR management responsibilities can be tailored to individual needs. Candidate may be asked to run a very large scale program or work as a subject matter expert, advisor, and account manager across multiple engagements. Candidate will be asked to help identify and own the development of new consulting solutions that will be brought to market. Candidate will help define business development strategy for the practice and be asked to own leads, pursuits, and proposals. Candidates will be required to have experience in health care administration operations (eligibility and claims processing, medicaid and medicare rules administration, etc.) across a variety of lines of business. Candidates will also be required to have either a consulting background or the ability to showcase consultative capabilities (relationship management, strategic assessments, consultative selling, etc.) . This role will likely be 50-75% dedicated to business development activities and 25% - 50% dedicated to quality oversight and delivery activities.

Generic Responsibilities include:

  • Acting in a management consultant role to help clients understand and solve their unique operational and technology challenges
  • Direct responsibility for large scale Program execution. Large Scale Programs are defined as high cost, high complexity and/or high risk.
  • Business Development. Identifies client values and tailors sales messages and benefits to our approach accordingly.
  • Proposal Ownership.
  • Links client business issues to engagement opportunities across Ingenix Professional Services areas with a view to maximizing long term benefits and relationship.
  • Represent Senior Leadership in the execution of Programs.
  • Accountable for Program Management Strategy and Performance at the Business segment Level.
  • Provides reporting analysis and review of programs ongoing to Sr. Leadership.
  • Provide coaching and oversight to Program and Project Management resulting in developed leadership skills.
  • Provide Strong Leadership and Judgement
  • Effectively Maintain and Build relationships across Business groups
  • Lead in a matrix organization
  • Create a team oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies, establishes collaboration and emphasizes quality and cost
  • Facilitate Development of Business Segment and Enterprise level Planning and Program Objective setting relative to change initiatives.
  • Facilitate Senior Management Decision Making within the Scope and Change Management Process
  • Provide Strategic Input to development of Program Roadmap and Timelines
  • Act as Liaison and represent Senior Management in execution of Program schedules.
  • Participate in Senior Level Program Funding and prioritization decision process.
  • Require Quality Assurance methods are implemented for all Programs.
  • Serve as Liaison and represent SR Management in resolution of Risk Contingency implementation.
  • Support Program Communication Plan and execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree in computer or business related field preferred
  • 15 + years experience leading large-scale consulting engagements or large internal healthcare projects/programs
  • 10 + years healthcare background with extensive healthcare operations knowledge and experience including claims, service, network, eligibility, etc.
  • 10 + years consulting experience highly preferred. (Big 4 or Large Consulting Organization experience preferred)
  • 10 + years enterprise project/program management experience required
  • Experience identifying add-on work and / or developing new business
  • Experience writing and executing business plans for new consulting solutions
  • Experience leading a team of direct reports
  • Willingness to travel 80+%
  • MN location highly preferred
