SUMMARY

Drives truck over established route to deliver chemical. Maintains a high level of safety in terms of driving, scheduling, timeliness of deliveries and safety of delivery site. Performs duties with general supervision. This position may have varying work schedules. Some travel is required. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Operates truck with the capacity of 1 to 4 tons. Responsible for shortages, careful handling, maintaining schedules.

· Drives truck to deliver chemical to customer’s place of business in assigned territory. May make other deliveries as required, and maintains good housekeeping of our supplies in the chemical areas. Collects money from customers on COD orders and record transaction on customer receipt.

· Records deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record. Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.

· Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive instructions. Loads and unloads truck.

· Organize & maintain warehouse when no chemical deliveries are required.

· Maintains truck in a clean, neat and orderly fashion. Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.

· Heavy lifting required.

· Effectively organizes activities to accomplish tasks.

· Listens to resolve service complaints.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduate

2 – 4 years experience

Excellent driving record, CDL required, Hazmat Endorsement Required

Must have good customer service skills

Must be able to work as a team member in a team environment
