WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?

• Develops and executes communication strategies and plans with business areas and zone executives for various business initiatives
• Develops content for all types of communications including memos, print, on-line, publications, speeches, presentations, etc.
• Coordinates the planning, development and production of communication materials using various communication vehicles
• Duties include one or a combination of researching, reporting, writing, editing, layout and design, graphic design, or web design

WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?

• Develops awareness and knowledge of pertinent insurance and financial services issues
• Develops knowledge of State Farm culture and organization
• Develops knowledge of all department functional areas
• Experience with communication strategies and plans and developing content for all types of communications
• Efficiently uses communications tools and resources
• Responsible for the final layout, design, editing and proofing of communications
• May supervise other employees
