Senior Security Network Engineer: National Rural Electric Cooperative (NRECA)

NRECA is currently seeking a Senior Security Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT department of over 120 employees.

Purpose and Mission :

· Own Information Security incident response and digital forensics as a senior member of the technical staff

· Establish network and system security controls to ensure compliance to applicable regulatory and standards compliance

· Perform comprehensive threat, vulnerability, and risk assessment to verify adequacy of controls

· Responsible for evaluating, selecting, implementing and maintaining strategic enterprise-wide security technologies.

Requirements and Qualifications:

1. 8+ total years of relevant experience in:

· Authentication and Access Controls (Firewalls, IPS, HIPS, NAC, LDAP, 802.1x, 802.11)

· Encryption related technologies (TLS, SSL, SFTP, PGP, IPSEC, PKI)

· Regulatory and Standards Compliance (COBIT, ISO17799, NIST, HIPAA, PCI)

· Incident and Risk Management

· Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Scanning and Digital Forensics

2. Minimum BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or Management Information Systems (MIS)

3. Security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISA, SANS GIAC) highly desirable.

4. Microsoft certifications (MCSE) desirable.

5. Project Management experience a plus.
