This position supports payroll globally and will have responsibilities for ensuring the operational support at the country / regional level. Responsibilities include:
- Develop a global payroll strategy to include a vendor strategy, in partnership with HR and procurement.
- Provide leadership to global payroll management team and support staff and/or vendors (in country or region)
- Lead the delivery of the payroll operations.
- Review SLA performance and performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
- Review regional and country data quality reports
- Manage tier 1 & 2 support.
- Ensure payroll systems and processes comply with all local, state/provincial and federal regulations.
- Continually identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within Shared Business Services HR Payroll in country, regionally and globally.
- Participate in global projects and reviews.
- Act as client liaisons to key clients within region.
- Participate in setting global priorities.
Position is flexible to be based in any of the major sites in the US (NJ, PA or NC). Initial travel may be up to 20% while the global strategy is being developed but will decline once the organization is functional. Qualifications
Required:
- A minimum of ten (10) years experience working in a business environment.
- A minimum of five (5) years managing a global payroll function/operation.
- A minimum of five (5) years managing people and vendors.
Desired:
- A minimum of two (2) years payroll experience in 2 regions outside the US
- Business process improvement experience (Six Sigma preferred).
- Knowledge of ERP (SAP preferred).
- Certified Payroll Professional (CCP) designation.
- A minimum of 2 yrs experience working in a shared services environment.
- Fluency in French.
- Broad understanding and knowledge of HR business processes.
- Solid oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree required, masters preferred. A concentration in HR highly desired.
