JOB SUMMARY
This position has dual areas of responsibility: oversight of clinical and administrative operations for VHSS, an agency that provides certified home health aides to the community, and the overall coordination and facilitation of education and training for VHSS and Home Health Services staff.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The position will report directly to the Vice President and COO of HRCH.
Reporting into this position are: Certified Home Health Aides, Companions, Home Health Aide Scheduler, Program Coordinator, Supervisor, Home Health Aides, Phlebotomists.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Human Resources Management
- Fiscal Management
- Performance Improvement
- Coordination of education and training for Home Health and VHSS staff
- Oversee Phlebotomy Service and Statewide Respite program
- Promote agency referrals in the health care community and maintain a positive relationship with other community agencies.
- Ensure compliance with CAHC requirements and other regulatory agencies
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Nursing
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE (AMOUNT AND TYPE) REQUIRED
3-5 years home care experience.
REQUIRED LICENSE, REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATION
New Jersey RN license - advanced certification preferred.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Knowledge of home care regulations
OASIS and All Script computer software experience
Learning theory and the principles of adult learning
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, public speaking skills, working knowledge of MS Office
DESIRED OR PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES
Computer skills with clinical software packages and knowledge of audio -visual equipment
