Senior Analyst - Clinical Integration - Midas: Sutter Health
Sutter Health Support Services (SHSS) is the Support Center for the Sutter Health affiliates, which houses all non-medical support departments that are not provided at the affiliates. It provides expertise and guidance to support affiliate functional departments.
The Clinical Integration Senior Analyst designs, develops and implements complex analyses and reports to provide enterprise-wide MIDAS application support. The analyst performs system-wide data standardization, data transformations and analyses, and develops user-friendly reports. This requires working with end-users to glean an understanding of the clinical/business tasks at hand. The incumbent works closely with the Clinical Resource Management Director, MIDAS Care Management System Manager, Clinical Integration Senior analysts and partners in SHSS IS to support system, Regional and entity quality, risk and case management leaders, site managers and end users to optimize use of MIDAS modules, in conjunction with EPIC and other systems. This may include MIDAS system-wide performance monitoring; developing processes and communication tools to improve data quality and integrity; report development and documentation; promoting and maintaining system standardization; and program evaluations that define and measure actionable items for regions and entities within the Sutter Health system.
Education: A Bachelor's degree with demonstrated health care data analysis and computer-modeling skills is required. An advanced degree is recommended.
Special skills: Must have a minimum 2 years experience with MIDAS+ supporting end users' information needs; experience with manipulation of large datasets. Requires a thorough knowledge of data analysis, technical documentation, data project management, statistical methods and CQI principles and internal/external health care data sources. Must have ability to concurrently manage multiple projects that are highly visible in the organization. Extensive knowledge of data analyses and queries, spreadsheet formats, and report production is required (Access; SQL; Crystal Reports) and the MIDAS modules. MIDAS+ System Administrator certification is a requirement for the incumbent within one year of hire. Knowledge of integrated healthcare system, hospital system and medical group issues is recommended. Ideal candidate will haveexcellent analytical, organization and documentation skills as well as the ability to present complicated information to administrators and clinicians in a concise meaningful manner. An ability to prioritize multiple projects and information requests is critical. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following professional attributes: strong problem solving skills, analytical thinking, process and project management skills, history of consistently meeting deadlines, superior oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to quality improvement.
