RN - Labor and Delivery: The Valley Health System

We are in the process of a $100 million dollar expansion program with a new six story tower. Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is a little over 10 years old, and is located in one of the fastest growing communities in Southern Nevada. Currently we are a 280 bed acute care facility, and we will be adding an additional 170 beds, for a total of 450 beds, with plans to open by the end of this year. We also recently underwent the expansion of our Emergency Room which was completed this past year, bringing us to a total of 55 ER beds.

The Women’s Center at Summerlin Hospital provides comprehensive care, including maternal triage, antepartum, Labor and Delivery, a GYN surgery specialty unit. The Birth Place – where we have approximately 3600 births per year, has twelve all private maternity suites as well as a Special Needs Level II nursery, and a Level III NICU which will be expanding to 36 beds with completion of the new tower. The Children's Medical Center, housed within the Women’s Center, provides advanced care to infants, children, adolescents and teenagers. We have 16 private pediatric patient suites, a 12-bed PICU and 8 pediatric beds in the ER.

Requirements:

We are in need of experienced L&D RN’s who have a passion for their profession to join us. We require a minimum of two years working in a Labor and Delivery unit.

License/Certification:
Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BCLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification. Current NRP Certification.
