POSITION
IT Compliance Engineer

Job Description:
As the IT Compliance Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for the following activities and tasks: - Ensure customer and security policies are followed
- Respond to customer requests for information, generate ad-hoc reports for customers on demand, and keep detailed records
- Provide recommendations for improved performance and efficiency
- Participate in certification/accreditation of assigned systems
- Participate in remediation of deficiencies
The minimum requirements to qualify for this position are as follows: - A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hands on desktop support, applications support, and systems administration
- Experience managing Windows 2003 Active Directory including Group Policies, Exchange 2003, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience setting up, configuring, and administering vulnerability scanning software
- Experience reporting vulnerability scanning results to both technical and non-technical management
- Experience with researching and remediation of vulnerabilities
- Experience patching antivirus and other software packages
- Experience with network and security monitoring
- Ability to monitor system alerts, research issues, and recommend resolutions
- Strong problem resolution, decision-making, and analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong customer interaction skills
- Ability research and troubleshoot issues
- Ability to track all issues to resolution
- Ability to evaluate hardware and software products
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to mange tasks and time with minimal supervision
- At least 2 years of scripting experience
- Working knowledge of SQL Server and MS .NET
- Experience with Tripwire is a plus
