Job Description

The Regulatory Services Officer is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and analytical functions associated with implementing Defined Contribution plans, including preparing and negotiating the service agreements, and any ancillary documentation necessary for Putnam to contract with a client; implementing amendments; performing comprehensive reviews of plan documents for legal/operational issues and assisting clients to move to the Putnam Prototype document; consulting with internal and external clients regarding best practice plan design; assist with assessment of certain error correction methodology. Acts as consultant and technical resource in working closely with sales, marketing, relationship management, plan administration, and operations staff. Acts as the primary contact with Putnam's Legal Department, facilitating efforts to resolve compliance issues and limit Putnam's liability. Assists clients with compliance problems/issues. Will attend finals presentations and client meetings. Qualifications include at least 5 - 8 years related experience, thorough understanding of the DC business, products, and services, strong knowledge of qualified plan design, administration, and ERISA required.
