Job Description:
Kforce is seeking a SANS Administrator for a Suitland client in a 6 month temp-to-perm opportunity! The qualified candidate will perform a SAN Administrator role for a variety of difficult assignments associated with the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of multiple SANs in a multi-datacenter environment. This person analyzes system faults/performance, troubleshoots, and runs diagnostic tests to detect problems; supports multiple/concurrent system development projects; and evaluates and installs SAN management tools/applications. This person maintains high levels of system performance and makes recommendations for continued improvement; reviews and prepares SAN documentation; and recommends methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. This person initiates preventive maintenance on the SAN as well as repair system problems; administers systems solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules; and supports the planning of system requirements for individual projects. This person also works on problems of moderate scope and ensures project schedules and performance requirements are met. This person can provide work direction and guidance to others and may be responsible for the technical direction, leadership, and training of less experienced staff. This person can determine methods and procedures to be used on new assignments. The Administrator contributes to the development of the organization's goals and objectives; interfaces with vendors for trouble calls; and regularly interacts with functional group managers and key users to ensure operational integrity. Interactions normally involve matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units.
SAN Administrator Qualifications:
