Financial Controller, Corporate Accounting, Financial Audits, Financial Statements



SEDC seeks highly qualified candidates for a Financial Controller for our corporate headquarters in Atlanta , GA. The Controller will oversee all accounting functions for SEDC and its subsidiaries. They will prepare and review monthly financial statements, oversee all financial audits including SAS 70 and 401(k) audits, and be responsible for monthly payroll, billing, accounts payable and general ledger functions. They will assist the CFO in managing the Financial Services, Human Resource, and Accounting departments as required. They will be expected to present financial reports to the SEDC Board of Directors and to attend and represent SEDC at a variety of accounting and financial regional and statewide meetings and conferences.

Qualified candidates will have the proven ability and experience to prepare and review monthly financial statements, perform payroll, billing, accounts payable and general ledger functions, to oversee financial audits and have a general understanding of corporate taxation.

A college degree in Accounting or a closely related field and at least 3-5 years of increasingly responsible experience in the above duties is highly desired.
