4th Shift Supervisor

Job Description

  • Maximize company growth and profitability by assisting the Manager in overseeing the execution of department productivity, business operations and associates at the Distribution Center .
  • Create an environment where associates are motivated to do their best.
  • Identify and analyze problems and suggest alternative solutions.
  • Listen effectively.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and dependability
  • Offer the highest level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Set and achieve high standards for personal performance.
  • Train and develop all leads and department associates to encourage professional growth.
  • Manage daily department procedures and reporting to maximize productivity.
  • Interact with all business channels and vendors to provide external and internal customer service to all parties.
  • In conjunction with the Distribution Center Manager, manage all aspects of performance and development of the department associates.
  • Manage all Associate Relations issues and functions.
  • Promote a culture of respect and an atmosphere of teamwork to foster a positive working environment.
  • Abide by the established dependability guidelines to maintain business productivity.
  • Follow the loss prevention and security guidelines as outlined in the Crate and Barrel associate guides to minimize inventory shrinkage and profit loss.
  • Adhere to company safety guidelines to prevent personal injury and product and facility damage.

Required Skills

  • Previous leadership experience
  • Ability to move and/or lift up to 65 lbs; heavier merchandise with team assistance
  • Proven proficiency in English language skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Previous Distribution Center experience preferred
  • Word, Excel, Outlook preferred
  • IBM AS400 knowledge preferred
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
  • Movement of merchandise, supplies, and/or boxes
  • Equipment certification as needed
