Physics & Astronomy - Visiting Lecturer/Instructor

GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY, College of Arts & Sciences, invites applications for full and half-time Visiting Instructor and Visiting Lecturer positions for the 2008-2009 academic year, effective Fall 2008 semester. Positions are contingent upon budgetary approval and most offer the possibility of summer employment. An offer of employment will be conditional upon background verification. PHYSICS AND ASTRONOMY

The Department of Physics and Astronomy seeks to fill a full-time Visiting Lecturer and/or Visiting Instructor position for the 2008-2009 academic year. Minimum requirements are an M.S. degree for a Visiting Instructor and a Ph.D. degree for Visiting Lecturers in physics or related field, and a record showing potential for effective instruction in introductory physics. The primary responsibilities for the successful applicant will be instruction of four introductory physics classes each of the two semesters. Applications must include a cover letter, CV, and the names of three references; these must be sent to the attention of H. Richard Miller, Dept. of Physics and Astronomy, Georgia State University, University Plaza , Atlanta, GA 30303.
