Position Summary:

This position is responsible for understanding performance and providing metric analysis utilized by the sales management team in order to drive improvements throughout the Sales Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Working through the Sales Review process to measure and track process performance, Sales Performance and assisting management in driving process improvements
  • Work with business owners to develop new metrics based on changes in the business, changes in the organization etc, including identifying and recommending new potential metrics.
  • Continuously auditing data to ensure established KPI targets are constantly met or exceeded
  • Performing data extraction and trend analysis to understand statistical behavior of data
  • Executing quantitative analyses that translate data into meaningful, actionable recommendations
  • Contributing to process efforts by defining requirements to ensure the availability of relevant data across core processes; working with reporting team to define requirements
  • Working with Resource Planning Lead to create staff scenarios for budgeting purposes
  • Using SQL queries to collect and aggregate data for reporting and analysis
  • Applying intermediate-level math and statistics to create models of business operations, develop goals, and measure progress against goals; creating and implementing metrics
  • Assisting management with the planning and design of business processes and systems, including making recommendations for improvement. Supporting process management cross-functionally as appropriate
  • Performing self-guided analyses of important business problems or questions as they present themselves
  • Performing analysis of asset utilization and making recommendations for improving leverage of assets
  • Advocating business operations goals and objectives to all levels of the organization, as well as cross-functionally
  • Managing process improvement projects from initial planning to implementation
  • Preparing reports and presentations
  • Carrying out other responsibilities as assigned

This position requires the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years experience working in a high-tech, operations, or high-volume transaction environment
  • Experience in data tracking, reporting and communication automation
  • Ability to collect data manually while guiding systems and tools development to automate collection of desired data
  • Ability to analyze data and summarize into meaningful recommendations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex quantitative information in simple business language for management
  • Ability to deliver quality work under a rigorous schedule
  • Ability to focus on and manage intense details, while keeping the larger organizational picture in mind
  • Excellent self-organization and time-tracking skills, as this position requires the simultaneous tracking and management of many ongoing responsibilities and ad-hoc or urgent requests
  • Experience with workflow tools such as Remedy
  • Proficiency with intermediate-level math and statistics required, including measurements of central tendency and dispersion, sample design and sampling error, simple linear and multiple regression, ANOVA, and chi square.
  • Intermediate-level skills in Excel, Access, and SQL
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
