| Job Description: | | | Meet with creative supervisors to discuss objectives of storyboard; what is desired or to be achieved Implement storytelling objectives. Follow instructions of creative supervisors Review rough animatic with animatic editor prior to internal animatic pitch for any necessary additional poses and clarification. Pitch storyboards (at various stages) to directors and crew Address any problems with creative supervisors; ask necessary questions Communicate progress of work to creative supervisors and to appropriate production staff Ensure quality and style of show is consistently achieved in storyboard work Follow proper document management requirements (i.e., file naming and storage) according to the production's guidelines Meet all deadlines as determined by Line Producer and/or Production Manager | | Required Qualification/Skills: | | | · Must demonstrate proficiency in style of show, including but not limited to a strong understanding of and ability to produce volumetric drawings and stylized characters in three-dimensional space · Strong staging and composition skills · Strong three dimensional drawing and mechanical skills; must be able to draw characters on model · Knowledge of or willingness to learn applicable design software and hardware, especially Cintiq tablet and Photoshop, Painter or Sketchbook Pro. · Ability to write and articulate direction clearly in the storyboards so that it is plainly understood by all essential production personnel. · Strong time-management skills · Work well under pressure · Ability to multitask a plus · Ability to show up on time consistently is necessary PLEASE NOTE: As this is an artistic position, a design test may be required.
