- Overall management of a book of business.
- Accountable for the maintenance, growth and increased profitability of existing business, the acquisition of new business on existing accounts, customer satisfaction and the strategic direction of assigned accounts.
- Reports to the local market Director of Account Management in the Key Accounts LOB and to the Regional VP of Account Management in both Major Markets and Public Sector LOBs
- Direct strategic, customer specific initiatives, which deliver value added services through the execution of client specific business plans.
- Expand the existing managed care network penetration for existing customers.
- Coordinate and influence superior customer service delivery by developing and maintaining strong intercompany relationships.
- Forges relationships with key customers and consultants; acts as main contact for UnitedHealthcare.
- Develop and monitor client financial performance including renewal planning, negotiation and profitability levels.
- Act as Team lead for other SAE?s, providing direction and support as required.
- Consistently exceeds objectives for profitability and persistency.
- Secure new business through marketing and effective product and service expansion.
- Participates in all major finalist presentations and RFP/NBEA situations
- Recognized as a subject matter expert for products, service and technology aspects.
- Establish and maintain strong and appropriate relationships with customers and consultants; ensure Senior Manager has customer specific high level/board level decision making contacts.
- Demonstrate marketing and technical expertise through: Client, broker and consultant meetings.
- Assessment of approach, resources, and contacts needed to complete RFPs.
- Preparation for, and participation in, new business site visits and finalist presentations.
- Provide feedback to management on market trends as represented by our clients.
- Maintain a high level of healthcare industry knowledge as well as customer's industry.
- Ongoing maintenance, communication and collection of customer's fee revenue and insured premiums (DSO) in collaboration with finance and collections department.
