| | | | |  Body Shop Painter Helper Needed ASAP! (Gulf Fwy) Description: The Collision Painter/Helper is responsible for repairing damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote him/herself to guaranteeing satisfaction to customers, internal and external. · Read the work order from top to bottom and note all panels and areas to be painted, including adjacent panels to be blended and areas to be jambed or cut. · Check the work order for any special instructions, such as gravel guard, clear coat, extra paint work, touch up, etc. Be sure to read bottom of work order. · Make a final evaluation of all these areas to be painted and blended. Contact your supervisor if you have any questions. · Always blend into adjacent panels, even if not listed on the work order, whenever color from the repaired panel comes close to the adjacent panel. · Notify the metal man of any discrepancies discovered. · Consideration should be given to making sure the paint is mixed and matched before the car enters the booth. · Review work order once again, looking for additional information/changes since original write-up, to ensure all tasks were performed. · Wear lint-free coveralls and a fresh air respirator whenever working in the booth. S/he should place coveralls in the vestibule and blow self off thoroughly before entering the booth. · After car has been placed in booth and pressure checked, the vehicle should be blown and tacked repeatedly to ensure cleanliness. This is critical to ensure a clean job.
Required Experience: · Two years experience as a vehicle body repair technician or apprentice. · Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. · Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles. · Valid drivers license. · Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
