Description Performs a variety of safety, security, parking duties in order to provide for the safety and protection of all patients, employees, visitors and/or others in and around the properties structures, lands or areas that are owned, used, leased or otherwise occupied by the Infirmary or its affiliates or others as encountered during the regular course of performing authorized job duties. May be designated as Duty Charge Officer in the absence of the shift Supervisor fulfilling the job requirements for the departmental Supervisor.

Requirements Some college courses in law enforcement or business administration. At least one year experience in Health Care Safety/Security. A valid Massachusetts Class III driver's license. Good driving record, ability to drive standard shift vehicles and shuttle vans. Must meet the requirements under Commonwealth of MA General Laws Chapter 22 C, section 63, to be appointed by the Colonel of the State Police as a special officer. Must use proper discretion in determining when a person/persons have violated the laws of the City/Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
