Position Description: Assists the Diagnostic Sales team with pre- and post- sale technical activities with a primary emphasis on growing the user base of diagnostic products. Provides technical direction and support to customers on instrument operation, assay development, and maintenance of company products. Makes technical presentations and conducts product demonstrations for customers. Assists in the evaluation and validation of assays. Implements detailed customer start-up requirements related to both Cepheid products and customer-specific requirements. Works closely with sales and marketing, QA/QC, research and development to address customer concerns, determine corrective action and customer follow-up.
