The Sr. Embedded Linux SW Engineer works with senior engineers and product managers to develop new features for embedded software (ALEOS) which runs on all AirLink wireless modems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, port, integrate and test features onto various embedded platforms on the Linux operating system
  • Participate in or drive architecture and design activities as required
  • Be the technical expert on embedded Linux related tasks, and mentor team members when necessary
  • Follow processes for disciplined software development

The requirements for this position include the following:

  • Knowledge of Linux kernel internals, writing device drivers
  • Basic knowledge of routing protocols, know how to troubleshoot networking issues
  • 5+ years Linux software development experience
  • 5+ years C/C++ language experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • B.S. degree
