Westminster Canterbury Richmond, one of America’s top 20 continuing care retirement communities located in Richmond’s North side has a great opportunity for a Substitute Assistant Teacher in our Child Development Center to work as needed. The individual will be responsible for implementing age appropriate daily activities and curridulum in all aspects of the daily rountine in the various infant, toddler, or preschool classrooms. Must be able to work cooperatively with teaching team to develop classroom routines and design. Responsible for maintaining the safety and welfare of all the children and maintaining the proper conditions of the classroom, playground, and center. Must be able to sustain work of high physical demand indoors and outdoors. Candidate must have an HS Diploma and is currently working to obtain a Child Development Associate degree or equivalent, and 6 months of directly related work experience.
