Windows Support Engineer: Scottrade

Responsibilities:

• Provide second tier escalation support for issues on Windows based servers.
• Provide expertise in designing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancements of the Windows OS, Group Policy, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Provide technical expertise and perform tasks for all related infrastructure projects, including business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Purchase, deploy, troubleshoot and monitor Intel based server hardware.
• Provide 24x7 support of the Windows server infrastructure environments.
• Enforce, manage and create policies and procedures.
• Work closely with business and I.S. associates, and outside vendors to effectively plan, deploy, and update
• Windows server infrastructure environment additions and changes.
• Purchase, deploy and support Avocent KVM.

Experience:

• 3+ years of technical experience in current Intel/Windows-based server design, configuration, management, troubleshooting and support, including clustered environments, and directory/security support and administration required.
• 1+ years experience supporting core Scottrade Trading Systems and key internal Scottrade systems preferred.
• 1+ years experience supporting geographically dispersed production environments preferred.
• 1+ years of experience supporting HA and DR strategies preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
