Associate Category Manager-Bakery

The Associate Category Manager - Bakery will be expected to work closely with the Bakery Merchandising Coordinator. The Associate Category Manager - Bakery will assist in maintaining and communicating issues with cost files/cost approval for the Bakery Department. The Associate Category Manager - Bakery will be expected to maintain/Update PLU sheets, production sheets, guideline sheets, case schematics, and vendor guides for the Bakery Department. The Associate Category Manager - Bakery will be expected to lead by example and create a warm, inclusive, and safe environment for our employees and vendors.

Job Requirements

The Fresh Market prefers a 2 year associate's degree (in Business Management) but it is not required. Demonstrated retail experience and proven results in Bakery or Deli departments is required. Demonstrated three years experience as a Deli or Bakery manager is required. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills are required. The ability to build and maintain professional working relationships within and outside The Fresh Market is required. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented, highly motivated with a sense of urgency, and possess a respect for detail. Some travel involved.
