LINEPERSON
KIUC is currently seeking a Lineperson to join our fact-paced company. This immediate opening for a team player will perform construction and maintenance work on our electric transmission and distribution facilities on Kaua`i. In addition to training and directing the work of employees in lower classifications, the Lineperson will inspect, troubleshoot, and
repair transmission, distribution,
secondary and service systems as well as install, remove, maintain and
inspect secondary lines, services, and meters.
Qualifications and Requirements:
-Must be a graduate of an accredited Lineperson apprenticeship program or possess equivalent knowledge;
-Must have or be able to obtain a valid State of Hawai`i Drivers
License, class B (CDL);
-Must be able to lift, carry, and/or move up to 75 pounds;
-Must be available to respond to emergencies.
Applicants must be able to pass a company-administered differential aptitude test (standardized tests of abstract reasoning, verbal reasoning, mechanical reasoning, and numerical ability).
