Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Supervisor


Summary:

Decurion Management Company is looking for Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Supervisor. The Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Supervisor leads and performs the day to day activities of the accounts payable and receivable functions for Decurion and its portfolio of companies, which includes the processing of invoices, disbursements of funds and collection of receipts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing of invoices, supervision AP staff; allocation of work; monthly reconciliation of AP sub-ledger to GL; daily review of payables and check processing; performance of month end close procedures; work with vendors to resolve disputes to ensure services are not interrupted; year-end 1099 statement processing and working with the larger accounting community.

Necessary Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Accounts Payable or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in Accounts Payable
  • A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • Clear understanding of accounts payable best practices, including strong internal controls and segregation of duties
  • JDEdwards, Peoplesoft, Oracle or equivalent system experience required
  • A solid understanding of GAAP and the interface between the Accounts Payable system and the General Ledger
  • Experience with 1099 processing required
  • Accounts Receivable experience preferred
  • Experience interacting with external auditors preferred
  • Experience with purchasing cards and interfacing with a procurement department desired
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product
  • Ability to resolve problems or situations requiring exercise of good judgement
