TIAA-CREF is seeking a Product Program Director for our Denver, CO or Charlotte, NC office. The right individual is responsible for appropriately understanding an institutional request and properly planning for the project (obtain appropriate resources, schedule appropriate tasks). Recommend and implement standards and changes to standards to control risks in the implementation area. As part of the Product Delivery & Management division this person will help ensure the effective delivery of our internal and external product and service offerings; plan implementation; and the development of efficient processes, controls and communication to support and promote the growth of our business.
Responsibilities:
- Works with Senior level management from all areas of the company, Project Management Teams, IT Management, Pension Operations management, Client Services management, Institutional Relationships - all levels.
- Interacts directly with internal and external business partners on the implementation of business plans and strategies and is responsible for structuring interaction, communication, processes, and activities.
- Clearly conveys information and ideas in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the information.
- Uncovers, communicates and answers questions concerning factual information accurately.
- Utilizes appropriate verbal and written communication techniques in a professional manner.
- Develop good working relationships with various business units to resolve issues, attain buy-in.
- Track initiatives and production against infrastructure capacity (workload, systems resources) and make recommendations to changes in scope and schedule to ensure optimal execution of all approved initiatives.
- In depth knowledge of sales process governance and controls (CSST)
- Assists with RFP and coordinates responses of the junior consultants.
Client Solution Management:
Work with client and internal team to develop solution through final agreement / order ticket.
Internal Delivery:
Ensure effective, controlled & tested internal delivery of products and services to the organization. Delivery changes might include new or enhanced products and services as well as those related to the closure of products, features, provisions or tools. Standard Delivery
Processes:
Facilitate the continuous improvement of standard controlled processes for client and internal product and service implementations.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- Demonstrated track record in defining and implementing processes.
- Requires expert knowledge of financial markets, and TIAA products, and services.
10+ years of experience in program management, institutional/individual relationship management, financial sales or financial services customer service experience.
- Working knowledge in all aspects of the systems development life cycle and project life cycle.
- Excellent customer service skills and negotiation skills.
- Experience in executive level reporting on strategic initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines.
- Requires NASD Series 7 and 63 registrations. (Required licensing within 6-8 months after the hire date.) May require Series 51 or 53.
- Requires resident state insurance license, and non-resident licenses for all states.
- Must comply with all regulatory requirements and remain in good standing with regulatory agencies.
- Encouraged to work toward additional industry certifications and designations (CEBS, etc.).
- PMP certification desired.
- Willingness to travel - up to 30%
