Description:

Expert PHP, MySQL Programmer / Architect needed to maintain, update and design existing web based systems. This position requires working within existing systems, updating and designing to business requirements while identifying impact to current and past implementations. This is a contract position (flexible full time hours) for an ongoing project, must be available to work on-site.

Requirements:

- MUST be available to work 40 hours per week

- MUST be available to work on location

- MUST be highly skilled and proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML and JavaScript

- MUST be able to develop low level PHP code from scratch

- MUST have experience working in a team environment

- MUST have experience using SVN or other version control systems

- MUST have experience with large systems

- MUST have experience working with live systems and recognizing impact to existing system

- MUST provide examples of code

- MUST be able to show proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML and JavaScript (Code Aptitude test is

- MUST be able to provide portfolio of past projects

- NO OFF SHORE CONTRACTORS WILL BE CONSIDERED

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Must have 8+ years of professional experience as a PHP Programmer

- Must have 3+ years of professional experience as an Architect or System Designer

- PHP / MySQL - Expert working knowledge

- Database Admin skills

- HTML - Expert working knowledge of XHTML, DHTML and related W3C compliant web 2.0 technologies

- JavaScript - Advanced working knowledge of JavaScript and AJAX related web 2.0 technologies

- LMS, CMS or related experience

- Linux and Windows based server platform proficiency

- Experience in design and architecture of large scale applications

- Must have strong working knowledge of security issues that relate to online delivery

- Must have experience planning and documenting programming projects per business requirements

Bonus Skills:

- ActionScript - Flash AS2 and AS3, Flex or related

- Flash Media Server or Red 5 knowledge

- GIU design skills
