Our commitment to helping troubled children and their families find success spans 20 years and includes a comprehensive array of programs and services. Program Overview:In North Carolina, Youth Villages provides Multisystemic Therapy (MST), which has demonstrated to be successful in helping youth ages 12 to 17 who display serious antisocial behaviors and are at-risk of placement out of the home due to their behaviors. Our MST program is built on the principle that the serious behavior problems of a child typically stem from a combination of influences including family factors, deviant peer group, problems in school or the community, and individual characteristics. The MST model calls for simultaneously addressing all of those inter-related areas. Position Overview:· Holistic Approach: Provide empirically-based treatment to the entire family, rather than just the identified youth. Work with the family hands-on to build trust and align them with treatment. · Small Caseloads: Work with four-five families at a time to give clients the attention they deserve. · Intensive services: Meet with families at least three times weekly and maintain on-call availability 24/7 M-F with a rotating weekend schedule. · Intensive but flexible schedule: Deliver services in the family's home or wherever they need us (school, court, etc.) and schedule sessions around families’ needs. · Individualized Treatment: Design treatment to meet each individual family's needs; ongoing assessment and review of treatment progress assures individualized service · Time-limited service: Treatment usually lasts three to six months · High Levels of Support and Supervision: Work closely with multiple types of clinical supervision provided in individual and group settings, led by trained and licensed MST professionals Additional Information: Mileage Reimbursement Cell phone Reimbursement 100% Tuition and Licensure Reimbursement beginning immediately Continual clinical and leadership training Rapid advancement opportunities as early as 6 months after date of hire
Requirements: · A Master’s degree in the social services field with one year experience in clinical counseling with at-risk youth is preferred (excluding education, criminal justice, and divinity majors) · A Bachelors degree in the social services field with four years full-time experience in clinical counseling with at-risk youth is required (excluding education, criminal justice, and divinity majors) · Experience doing family therapy or providing MST services is a major plus
