RESEARCH ASSOCIATE - KETCHUM GLOBAL RESEARCH NETWORK At Ketchum, we have a firm commitment to attract, retain and develop the best and the brightest in the business today. We invite qualified candidates to explore the following opportunity: Our New York office is looking for a Research Associate to join our Global Research Network. This position will report to the local Research Director in SF. Our ideal candidate will be client service oriented, a team player, have the ability to work on multiple project with minimal supervision and have strong writing skills. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or related field
- At least one year full-time related work experience and/or two internships
- Strong writing skills
- Deep interest in Research
Responsibilities Include:
- Secondary research projects under guidance from senior staff. Analyze findings for strategic planning in marketing and public relations. This person is a supplier of consumer and business insights - not "data dumps" - to account teams and new business teams, to include:
- Response to information requests from Strategic & Creative Planners and account staff
- Proactive outreach to key account teams during planning season
- Interpretation of MRI, Roper, Yankelovich and/or other types of secondary data
- Development of target audience profiles, secondary research summaries, and trends reports, including the Ketchum Global Research Network newsletter
- Primary research projects (quantitative and qualitative) under guidance from senior staff. Analyze findings for consumer and business insights, to include:
- Development of publicity survey questionnaires and focus group recruitment screeners
- Analysis and reporting of research findings
- Serve as a departmental liaison to primary research vendors
- Media monitoring and analysis projects, including:
- Evaluation of media coverage for public relations programs and campaigns
- Conduct media audits and media coverage analyses
- Knowledge of Ketchum's MediaFocus system
