Sr. Online Marketing Manager: Life Technologies
Sr. Online Marketing Manager Manages online marketing and merchandising aspects of internet sales initiatives and related online demand generation activities. Understands business drivers and evangelizes the online channel for all marketing activities. Individual will be responsible for online offer effectiveness, conversion and revenue generation across the entire base of online customers. Finally, this person will be the primary voice of online marketing and merchandising as the lead interface to divisional business units, regional marketing and other functional groups across the enterprise in order to drive enhancements and change business practices, as necessary. Core Responsibilities include: Revenue Growth and Sales KPI’s Work with key leaders to develop an online marketing strategy to drive eCommerce initiatives through all web properties that will drive traffic, conversion, generate leads and revenue. This will be done through: • Optimizing traffic flow for high value customers and prospects • Developing high conversion Merchandising and Promotional content templates for use by Divisional and Regional marketing (Banners, Landing Pages) • Identifying and consistently improving revenue generating opportunities • Meet regularly with Web Experience, Marketing Communications, Market Development and Regional teams to act as the liaison between departments ensuring the streamlining of necessary information and acting as a consulting service provider to meet their online needs. • Monitor campaigns and online marketing programs against monthly targets – Revenue, Conversion, and Traffic. Conduct on-going ROI analysis of programs and institute improvements to achieve goals. • Ensure development of appropriate promotional content; work with content and creative teams to make marketing strategy decisions and advise on technical and content decisions where appropriate • Ensure website expresses Brand Marketing guidelines and is in alignment with product roadmap. • Monitor program and site performances, conduct A/B testing, recommend and implement process improvements as required Metrics and Analysis: • Lead and deliver a Global Online Marketing Dashboard to include the following data: • Traffic Optimization – Consistently work to refine and optimize onsite marketing pages, information architecture (taxonomy) and internal search contribution to revenue • SEO/SEM optimization metrics • Conversion rates through Application Storefront, Category and Product Promo Pages • Cart and Checkout funnel conversion opportunities Communications: • Coordinate Division and Regional teams to plan and manage 12-month online Promotional and Merchandising Marketing calendar • Distribute a weekly update to internal stakeholders on all Internet Marketing activities CRM • For all marketing campaigns, support CRM efforts (email, opt in) Education: BS/BA degree required, MBA highly preferred Qualifications: • 6-8 years experience in online marketing and merchandising in roles with increasing responsibility • Experience and passion in all disciplines of Online Marketing management, preferably in a category environment • P and L or Budget Ownership for business segment • Industry Experience Preferred • Strong analytical background • Organized and detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written skills • Background in business, marketing and/or ecommerce • Experience working with the latest in web merchandising tools • Ability to bridge gap from multiple product teams and business units to create a cohesive online marketing calendar • Excels with being measured on online campaign conversion as core kpi • Entrepreneurial spirit that will build and own web channel merchandising strategy in a global setting Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to organize, structure, and develop process in a fast-moving company will be important. This position will be located in Carlsbad, CA. Relocation benefits will be offered.
