Analyst 1, Fraud

Job Title: Analyst, Fraud, (Monday - Friday 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm)

OVERVIEW:


The Fraud Department is seeking a self-motivated individual who is able to perform detailed account investigations in a fast-paced work environment. Utilizing multiple data sources, the Fraud Analyst must interpret, organize, and process information to detect and prevent fraudulent activity on T-Mobile’s network. The ideal candidate must have strong decision making skills, work well under pressure, and be able to adhere to department metrics. The candidate must be flexible and results oriented with excellent time-management skills.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Perform in-depth account investigation and analysis quickly and efficiently.


Effectively analyze, compile, organize and interpret data from multiple investigation resources.


Must meet department benchmarks, goals, and objectives which change can change monthly depending on business needs.


Form well-founded conclusions and pursue investigation closure according to established department and legal practices.


Perform multi-layered link analysis of all fraudulent accounts and trends.


Identify and adapt to changing trends on a daily basis.


Manage information of a proprietary and confidential nature, belonging to both customers and the corporation, adhering to both company and general legal guidelines.


Handle high inbound call volume by assisting internal and external groups including fraud victims, customer care, financial care, sales office dealers, business and consumer credit, and activations.


Complete/process all fraud tips/alerts/claims via the FMS, iRAT, GeoProbe, HUR’s, phone queue, or by any other legal means.


Monitor existing accounts for lost or stolen roaming/dialing usage.


Alert Investigations Team of growing fraud trends associated with specific channels or dealer codes



QUALIFICATIONS:


Willingness to work non-standard hours including: Evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.


Proficiency in PC utilization on a Windows platform.


Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Access is required.


Advanced analytical and multi-tasking skills.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Ability to clearly explain complex issues and circumstances to laypersons, law enforcement and other applicable agencies.


Critical focus on detail-oriented workflow and investigation process.


Ability to manage workload using effective prioritization and time management.


Ability to operate in a high-stress, accelerated pace environment while maintaining ability to shift priorities, as needed, in response to business demands.


Capable of working towards team as well as individual metrics.


Ability to learn new work processes and procedures.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


Bi-Lingual Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply- shift differential would be paid for this skill.


Minimum 1 year experience in the wireless industry.


College degree or equivalent work experience.


Required prior experience in fraud Investigation or closely related field.
