U.S. Army Nurse Corps

As a nurse and Officer on the U.S. Army Health Care Team, you’ll manage the care for our Soldiers and their Families when they need it most. You’ll work alongside collaborative professionals who share your dedication to patient care.

Requirements include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or accepted by the U.S. Secretary of Education
  • Completion of a qualified course in operating room nursing or 1 year of supervised operating room experience
  • Between 21 and 42 years of age (health care professionals ages 43 to 60 are now eligible for a two-year service contract under the OAPP program)
  • Current, valid and unrestricted nursing license
  • U.S. citizenship
